Thank you for mentioning art and music! Those are my specialties haha. But yes, you're totally right that the game would have benefited from some sort of twist/progression. I appreciate the feedback!

Yooo did you write that piece of music by yorself tho? If so, its very impressive! Im musician myself, stuggling when it comes to jazzy stuff :D

(+1)

Okay I am so pumped to discuss this! haha. Yes, I wrote it and just improvised all the piano and bass parts. I couldn't play it again even if I wanted to lol. I write nothing but cinematic orchestral music, so I never even considered writing something jazzy, but I was scrolling shorts while making this game (efficient use of time) and came across Chico Hamilton's Miss Movement. It felt so chaotic and perfect for this game, so I truly just listened to it on repeat until I figured out some of the patterns. Definitely not the best way to learn, but it ended up working for me! I'm really glad you liked it, because I had seriously mixed feelings over it, which is what prompted me to add my first-ever mute button LOL.

It turned out just awesome, especially considering that jazz is not your profile.

I have a very similar situation: I mainly write electronic music, but when I was drawing art for our game, I was greatly inspired by the works of Studio Ghibli and also wanted to make an omage on the soundtracks of Joe Hisayashi. Unfortunately, there was no time left to write decent orchestral music, something close to the original idea remained only in the main menu.

Anyway, keep it up, you nailed that jazz for sure!

I really appreciate that. I wasn't super confident in it, so it's reassuring to hear you liked it.

After playing your entry, I'm excited to see what else you create moving forward! I thought your music and art were really great. Followed you to ensure I don't miss anything haha
