got to play CORE/LORD + OATH and it was absolutely brutal (positive). heart wrenching, tragic in the best way. had to pace my backyard for an hour after the session. considering these are all minizines, it really had a lot of depth and there was for sure a lot of strategy involved. that game is gonna be sticking with me for a long time

this summer! i defend in may, and then will have a month or two to edit and revise my thesis if necessary. it should be published after that, and i can start working on spiritkeep more in june!

i started playing this just after midnight on new years, and i had a blast! died after 8 rooms because i stumbled on 3 warriors. took two of them out, had the last one down to 2hp and then he got a huge hit on me and did 8 damage, which is what i had left. i wasn't expecting to enjoy it so much, but i'll definitely be back to play more!! 

i had it that this was a nightmare one of my npcs was having, which gave it some fun flavor as i played through. i also decided i couldnt grab any treasure unless i defeated the enemies in the room first, which gave me some fun choices to make (which is why i ended up dying - i wanted that good equipment!). the fact that she died to three warriors is perfect for whats happening in the main game right now. the number crunching was a lot of fun and adding some narrative on top was a nice bonus :) great game!!

i love it!! im so glad you got to write a cool scene for your pc :) and yeah, i ended up using character playlists and thought it worked pretty well that way. thank you so much for sharing!!

i think of all my games, the one that makes me happiest is familiar field trip. i made it for my best friend and we played it for their birthday and had a blast. a little strategy and a lot of silly. i also made it while my little sister was visiting so got her feedback on it and now the two of them are engaged!! so its a game that makes me feel warm to think about
