Very fun game, I did reach the long melon with the middle and left character, is that the final.... or no?

Alright, are you ready for my review of your translation in Cafe DReAMLAND (the link just leads through the playthrough playlist of the game)? I think it's absolute perfection. I think it also ties with I Can't Be Human, but I think it's slightly more above, and I could say miles better as well than HHW! (tho I don't say that you did HHW bad, I've always seen it as good.) I really enjoyed reading the dialogues really amazing. You captured the personalities of the characters so well, and it's really well done. I would say you had more cultural flavor for this one. Again overall, you verily done a well job. I guess the only thing I'm lacking to close this at this point, is if I ever learn Japanese and do a full read and dialogue comparison I guess, and I guess maybe the reading about Cthulhu mythos, but I feel like it might not matter for now, as again, you did amazing on this one. I had some laughs, some internal crying I guess (I always have to be serious at times anyways unfortunately, plus the first 2 parts were recorded at nighttime.)

Still you did a very amazing job done. Welp, hopefully to see more translation of many games out there from you. Just don't forget not to overwork, and take some breaks.

I see. After I read the devlog, yeah sounds like a really cool guy. I guess here's hoping.

no problemo! I'm also delightful and glad to hear it!

(Also has no commentary.)

Very cool game, and for a first game... you did pretty well. Really loved the character, and what can I say, but very true and relatable (design-wise also really cool.) I love the variety of dying, despite cgless, especially the absurd ones.
While the mystery has been straightforward, it's not bad. Hopefully to see more of them one day.

(1 edit)

Fun tactic in endless, pray you get bad rolls 75% above damage buffs, like at least 2, and maybe even add a good heal for damage dealt, then keep rolling okay (approximately 55-45), and you're pretty much golden/unstoppable. I guess instead of bad rolls in description, something like increases uneven damage. got to like 49 floors, and accidentally pressed the back button of my mouse by mistake.
If there's like more than that, maybe even like 80-90, I think you can just roll/split at bads/greats, and it's much at this point, how good can you split really bad/great?

very addicting game

(Also I guess has no commentary. I made up a number of dumb moments here I guess.)

I would say very promising game so far. I like the mystery going on in this, and especially the Y2K/XP styled Era aesthetics going on as well. I think most of the bugs have been said at this point. I guess for one random gameplay thing... this might be a nitpick.... but I think the 017 folder should have been available, and as well anywhere else the time you enter the mystery guy part of the game within the game part, instead of just being in the image studio. I was so very confused like where's the folder, and I thought the game is going 4th wall within "4th wall" (quotes because to denote the 4th wall is in game, while the non quote, meaning actual file explorer, which would be crazy if anyone do that, and also yeah why in a certain part the door is complete transparent, because I edited it lol, no worries I ignored every spoiler.... until the only ones needed I guess.)

Nitpick/rant/issue aside, I like your art as well, and it's really cool! BGM/s are also nice to listen I guess. Overall, promising game, and can't wait to see the last of the mysteries to be unfolded.

Is this a perfect game after torturing yourself in super monkey ball?

no problem! So I guess I'm just going to wait the post jam update then. Well if my memory serves correctly, during when I was playing,  the glitch is like the first memory becomes the main menu background for some unknown reason.

(3 edits)

uhmm, I couldn't trigger the first one in the collection,. I've gotten everything except the first but couldn't get the thing, even after reading the condition.

Also while playing the game... it weirdly lags on the menu choices, or just choices in general, including the shop, but everything else is smooth. I'm unsure if it has something to do with the crazy plugins (very cool btw, will make a review about it once I guess played it more properly and get to the last ending I guess that I haven't gotten), or maybe... is there a plugin used in the choices?

(Also has no commentary.)

Welp... I think most I want to say at this point has been said already. But yeah as always, like your other games it always has been amazing, and a blast. As always... the pixel arts and cgs are passionately made, it also conveys the characters' expression and the story as well. I also like the characters as well, especially Alle and Rutile. The puzzle took me a while, and I thought with the hints given, it will be that, but no... you have to think further a bit.
The atmosphere and build up is also cool.

Overall, I had fun... I do wonder tho, especially with the third character on the thumbnail in listing/your page... and especially their unused sprites... is there going to be more, and will there be a future update... or was it already available?... Just had to cut for reasons?

Still, pretty good game. That's all I have to say for now.

Thank you for a cool game!

No worries! Still you did a good job fixing it through time. Just also take some breaks and don't overwork.

Just going to post the video and review in a new one instead.

(Also has no commentary. For pure game audio connoisseurs I guess. )

I loved every single moment in this game. I guess it's an RPG trope, but this one is still pretty good, but yeah I guess, I can agree to the one person, that I could use more depth, but I still think there's some deepness in the characters at least. But man, every single pixel art in this game... I adore... instant chef's kiss. You really had passion in making on your games. From top to bottom, from ui, cgs, and characters. All of those are really variety, had alot of soul and emotion going through it, and one of the reasons I still think it has depth. Again, amazingly well done for this one. While story can be predicted, again, I still enjoyed it. And lastly, the scene select. I know from my comments, and others as well, it's a very rough one, but I think for the recent update, you really done a pretty good job in fixing it, as I was able to see the fabled current max out of current max ending found/seen.

Still, this is a blast to play. I can't wait to see the post jam update and see the true ending. (I do have ideas already on how to actually get it, even if it's not out yet.)

Again, thank you for a wonderful game, and might check more of your games in the future.

(1 edit)

Alright, so I played the updated version, and after doing a legit ending 2 in a new save (like literally not on a bug this time), and hoping I can get the 6 out of 6 endings, this time and replayed a section.... I found a bug where the game considers 1 = 2 guardians saved, and played the after the second guardian, and just the normal and not an ending variation. I guess I'll just give up getting that for now just have to wait for the post jam version (which is I guess going to be 7 out of 7 now) instead, but I'll still reply with the playthrough video later, and my review on it. I can understand you worked really hard on the scene select, and I applaud you for that (I can see how much nightmare see you working on it.) It's an interesting thing to see tbh, and I like games as well that you can just select certain scenarios. Just for now, it creates a lot of frustrating things and just makes a lot of like trying to brute force.

And one final thing I tried, well before all of this, is to load a previous
version save file, and yeah, I guess you really have to make a new
file, as the other bugs from the previous version from trying to load.. are still present (the black screen bug said by someone is still there.)

Still, yeah that's my findings on playing the new update.
Well, definitely the next update might need more than just after a postjam.

(1 edit)

So almost got all the endings.. except the 3rd I guess... um any hints? And uhh, yeah welp I guess it's already said, the scene select is very buggy, hence I don't think the 6/6 will be doable atm. Also when you select after the first guardian, it always plays the ending 2 trigger.... regardless of the choice, and if I try to select after the second guardian... uh the character is on the village, but you can't select any of the other places, and interacting goes to the mountain trigger instead. I also found another bug, on one save of mine I decided to somehow make the save all play the after the first guardian cutscene, which completely softlocks the game, and still shown all of the areas beaten. If you need the save of that happened, I can send the save file. I promise you, I just dunno how did that happened. I have a feeling it might be related to an ending trigger (likely 2), and in one choice I guess. For that save, all I selected was the do absolutely nothing choices

Still I enjoyed the game.... I might just wait a bit for now (and yep.... I already recorded a playthrough, but like it's going to be a lot of edits.)

Still, a pretty cool game and I enjoyed it! I will do a final review, after some painful things I guess. I also did check out one of your games before, that is still in development, and I enjoyed it as well.

(Also has no commentary.)

Very tight and precise fun game. Ofc the video has ton of skill issues happening, but still somehow overcome it. Pixel arts are amazing, and so is the BGMs/OST of this game, absolute bangers. Level design, for the most part, while I still did it at times, is verily has speedrunning factor.

Most issues have been said now I guess, like the browser version can lag, but still manageable. (tho could work during the one instance of sudden bullet hell level.)... and a downloadable version.... which, would be nice to see...

Still, a fun game.

Oh just checked the new version now supposedly, it has been updated by the time you replied. It is fixed now and accessible, I replied it during the game version not being on 1.01.... well on one route. I have yet to make sure the other route as well is working

when you get the sword then try to move to the next area or pause/unpausing. then the startswith error appears.

(1 edit)

Man really interesting game, only problem the game failed to worked on either routes and got an error of like "Cannot read property 'startsWith' of undefined". I think that happened on both segments of getting the sword, and either proceed to pause and continue, or to another area/screen.

grab the emoji on the speech balloon after giving a snack. It's a very tricky one I would say.

Very crazily fun opposite, but still also has chill and vibes, tempura cooking game! bun_tired's art really did flavorful of your vision, as well as the music choices, so kudos!

Anyway, I uhh.... did a playthrough... commentated and non-commentated. Enjoy!

(1 edit)

I'm sorry if I'm only commenting about this game now.... tho I dunno where to comment. (Also has no commentary I guess.)

Very cool game. I also like the artstyle. I have a bit more if review on it on the video's description. On this playthrough I found some bugs.
Still I enjoyed it!

(1 edit)

(Also has no commentary.)

I saw this a while back when some cool friend/person shared the game link of this, and I am interested to check it out.... unfortunately, it took time, because I was busy. Now I had finally a chance to play it out, I can say I really like this game, despite the few bugs, and weird loops resetting levels (tho make sense in a time loop, still the inconsistency bothered me, and is still playing another time loop game, not an RPG Maker tho and it's a random obscure DS game, and I still haven't finished that one. I still wish to play In Stars and Time.) But enough random ramble. Again, I enjoyed this game, I really like the character the arts, the portraits and their expressions, the pixel arts(instant 9 to 10/10 for me.) I also like the twists within twists this game has to offer. I know and felt it had as well inspiration on one RPG Maker that is also about time looping (and like I said I still have to play it.), and I also like it has some reference to it, especially being in a rename pun reference. I also like the characters, and they are verily fleshed out, especially with their dialogues. The creatures of "darkness" are also adorable, I'm not gonna lie
on that one. As for the music, it's really good too. Also one final thing, the title. I also like it's also multiple meanings, and as well interprets the whole grand scheme of the story.

Overall, it's a very fun experience of an RPG Maker adventure, and a really relatable misfits adventure.

Thank you!

(Also has no commentary for pure audio connoisseur.)

Pretty cool life reflecting VN. I also like art, the soundtrack and the atmosphere of the whole game. If the other ending will be something about for future projects, I'll look forward to it!

pretty cool and relaxing game! I wish when you change tiles on certain tiles that had alread... tho this might be hard to program, reduces the price of the former tile that got replaced, and as well ability to remove anything that was on the tile.

(2 edits)

Welp made a playthrough of the game, commentated or not commentated.
(Can't share at least one video directly for some unknown reason.)

Very fun game, and decently challenging as well. Not gonna lie, level 8 and 10 stumped me a bit. Still it's fun when finally figured out and it's very clever as well.

(I wish I discovered this game during the time the game jam was active.)

Again, very cool game, and the character is cute!

No problem.

I think slowing down the cat could help a bit more leeway. The current platforming in the second chase already can trouble a lot to players. The current speed of the cat, really just asks for TAS inputs. Also, chase sequences already punishes you for mistiming/misinputing and again, the current speed just currently like you can only make one or 1/2 even of a mistake.

(1 edit)

I feel like the 2nd chase might be a bit too strict/tight imo. Always ended up in a spot where the cat got the lead the most, despite the possibly perfect inputs, and not enough time to reach the next platform & do the ledge drop charge jump.

Still a fun game, just ended up on there.

(LAST EDITED: 3/14/2025)

(Also has no commentary.)

Pretty cool game, and I love the characters. Would love to see them more as well.
I guess the gameplay mechanic is also cool, and had some thinking moments as well a bit.
Overall, you still did pretty good job on this one.
(I still wish I was able to record this on OBS, but dang, OBS just really don't want to without lagging bits.)

EDIT 3/14/2025: Did decide to find all unique anomalies, and as well the secret ending on this second part:

(Also has no commentary as well, for again for fans of pure game audio I guess.)

Still after finding all of them, and as well seeing the last third/secret ending, I find this game to be now my favorite out of all of your games so far. Ofc, very obvious which anomaly I like on this... (it's the ufo.)

Again, you really have care on making this game. So, thank you!

not to be rude or anything, but I already know like days ago.

(1 edit)

(Also has no commentary.)

I see cat, I click, I play, I cherish this game, I cherish every version of the kitty, I adore gay dudes.

Adorable art as always.

Kit/10 approved!

Would love to see the other versions/endings sometime, and another game with them.

hehe, no problem! Tho I only know few boke and tsukkomi things, you still captured it as well. and it's really cool!

(1 edit)

(Also has no commentary. Also had to edit out the bugged part. The thumbnail will be changed, after some days has passed I guess)

Still mostly has been said on the first comment I guess, with some bug issues as well. But I already said, this game's pretty good. Again really loved the dynamic, really had funny parts especially the wrong choices and during the meeting with Kagame Kagami.. So Kudos, well done. Also to follow up, I also like the monsters' designs, really represents what they are, and all of them starts with B as well.

Again, well done!

(2 edits)

I saved on every part of the game that has choices, even the door choices one, I tried to load and check every other choices as well, (because well I'm a let's player and curiosity is a curse.) After like doing every single perfect and loaded that save, after checking like just not winning or perfect winning just like the first two monsters. the one I loaded, supposedly everything perfectly won, just goes into neutral ending instead. And it also somehow carrythrough after I new game. If there's point system, supposedly then it should be 0, but I did
everything for the chance to get good or even true ending, like the same choices you said before.... all of the
endings just become neutral, despite the other one looks like supposedly going to be True End Route. (it also still had the Neutral Text on before the battle, about believing in friends.)

For the follow up edit of reply, well you can see here.

(1 edit)

Alright, this is still weird, again, now it works. Yeah funnily those are the same inputs I did, and it works. I have to guess it has something to do with the save function. I tried this one on a new start
again, and now it works with those same options. One of the saves I made do have all of the right options answered, I'm absolutely not lying on that one. It somehow just leaded to Neutral Route.
The only other thing I could be thinking of is like if swapping choices also causes issues, or like it has an actual point system, might be the point system.

But enough talk, it works this time. So again thanks.

(1 edit)

No worries I did try really hard, and really crying when I still saw the neutral end a number of times.

I'll  promise you, I got all choices right and perfectly win with 3 right choices, and also got the two absolute right choices as well, where it plays the new cutscene I have never seen before, thought at least it will be true ending and just still leads to neutral, but with black background. I also did restarted the game, and still the same, just for making sure it's a bug or anything.

(I'm also sorry for a lot of edits. on the previous message.)

(2 edits)

Does the perfect win, involves the orbs?  Also yeah I did listen to the cues... I still ended up in Neutral Ending even getting all of the right answers. And also did the other thing with likely both in the absolute right options.... despite seeing some new ones.. it... still ended up in Neutral, instead of likely of what supposed to be going to be a True End. (it showed the neutral cutscene for whatever reason, and still ended up for neutral end)

(2 edits)

Welp I certainly played the game, and it's really cool! Problem, is like I'm stuck, and I have no idea how to get the remaining ending/s. I thought I was going to get the good ending but ended up still no, and just lead to neutral on the other one. So basically I have zero idea of what to do. I felt I have done every single choice. at this point, and the other 2 endings, I just really couldn't access. So unfortunately, I ended up giving up for now. I feel like something is missing, I literally checked every choice now, and just literally did
all possible choices that could have lead to good and/or true ending. (where all 3 were like into good direction.)
And it just never did, it just stuck to neutral.

So issues aside, I like the dialogues. I like the boke and tsukkomi comedy of the duo main characters. Also has the "oi!" dialoguing so that's
also cool and bonus points! I also love the art as well, very cute!
Overall it's still a good game despite being stuck to two endings, unfortunately. Still will have extra final words once I am able to see the last
two endings.

(Also has no commentary.)

I... relate a lot to this game. I like every single variation of the same room tells and depicts a behavioral phase(I dunno if I convey what I mean. If not I'm sorry in advance, I'm not good in words), and slowly builds up to build their own true self/believe on their own shape in the end. Still overall, a really well done VN I will say. On artistry, I like your art, it's very cute, and I also like the usage of monochrome/(almost) 1-bit, I guess depicting the current emotion of the whole scene. (again not good in words, something like in grey line or something.)

Still... I really relate on this game.

Thank you so much.
