I'm just an emotional person, I'll admit that outright.

So I did glance through the walkthrough a little but I'm trying to avoid major spoilers by looking through it so I'm asking here. How do I accept the babysitting job? I got the offer, but see no way to actually continue with the characters. I've looked through every location, world map, kitchen, room, everywhere I could think of.
For me, it's few things. And take this with a grain of salt since I could very well be playing the game weird. Autism and all that.
One thing I think is a fun, but completely optional idea is more things for memory or perception manipulation. Maybe I just haven't been using it well, but it feels a little shallow right now. But only a little!
I've yet to experience the traitors or secret maids in the game since once the visitors actually figure out something is wrong, it feels like they really brute force the situation. Which I tern, gets either you or them walloped right away, leaving no room for strategy or deception. So maybe giving the visitors a chance to strategize, by barricading a room off, and giving us a prison for downed people would be fun. I also just don't know how to make deals with visitors since I only seen the option once with a hero during the final section, and I know how to make a secret maid but I didn't see much use for them.
The second would be combat, it's kinda... what's the best word... Simple? I don't know, it just feels like there's no depth to it if that makes any kind of sense. I know this isn't supposed to be a fighting game, and that's ok. I just feel like combat and the prospect of it is little more than an annoyance than anything else.
Now if you have any recommendations for things to try, please tell me. It's very possible and likely I'm missing something and just not playing the game to it's fullest. Oh, and one more thing. More outfits and customization would be splendid! I know that's kinda a nitpicky thing, but I love playing dress up with my metaphorical dolls in these cases. That's all I have to say, I really enjoy your games so far, but I will say there's a lot of things especially in your other game that just go way over my head. Even when reading through the tutorials, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed.
I'm gonna have to agree with Void. While I don't think the gameplay is bad per say, I do believe some variaty is needed in the enemies. So I'll list how the enemies work and how I believe they could be improved.
Morgana is directly linked to sanity from what I can tell, and will only enter when at around a third left. As long as you keep your sanity up, she's a none issue. However I'm not sure that's how she's intended to work considering the mechanic of shutting the windows.
Seraphine will teleport between two cameras. As long as you look at her through them every now and again, she won't come into the house. And even when she does, I've found her very easy to avoid.
Judi is where you can really see the FNAF reference with the music box. Just keep it wound and they're not a problem.
Here's how I think they could be improved.
Keep Morgana tied to sanity, but only in time it takes to enter the house. So the less sanity you have, the less time you have to shut the windows. This would make her an ever present threat that you constantly need to be taking care of.
I think Seraphine should be completely reworked. I can roughly think of a couple ways it could be done, although I can't think of anything perfect right now. 1: Let her work together with Morgana, teleporting from window to window and using the flashlight to make her go away. 2: Let her teleport around the house in spots to block your path, keeping you away from certain objectives to make things really hectic. Or maybe let her block off entire rooms. So that way you still need to use the camera to check where she is so you don't run into her.
I think Judi is actually ok as what she is, but it could be done diffrently to make it more unique in flavor. Instead of a music box, make is so maybe the player has to interact with the book upstairs for example to keep her calm. That would go a long way in letting her feel more unique and on theme.
As for the lewd aspects? I think they're fine as they are. Maybe some color presets for hair or skin tone? So that way you could make Seraphine blonde, or give Morgana a darker skin tone without the limitations and frustrations of a color wheel.
For something that only just released, and is in the initial proof of concept stages, I think it's fine. There's plenty of potential, and with a bit more elbow grease could be made something pretty good even with what's here now! I look forward to seeing how this game might evolve in the future.
So I just gotta say, early spoilers.
I honestly don't want to romance Kyra now. Vlad and Metis got innocent people, and almost 2 of their family members killed. And on top of that, left Maria and Anna to rot. Kyra ran away with the murderers, those directly responisble for the MC pressumed death. Which it was immediately shown she had feelings for. I've only played the very begining release and don't know how the rest of the story goes. But that walking hairball will have to try EXTREMELY hard to earn back any ounce of respect, let alone love.
Story's good, I'm not dissing it. I just really don't like Kyra, and I really hope the MC doesn't just instantly forgive her.
Greetings.
So I just played through the demo, and it was nice. However there's something in the game that my laptop REALLY doesn't like. And it's not consistent in it's location, I've checked and it's not Matilda either. When I first encountered it in the tutorial it was in the reception room. However later in the night it worked perfectly fine. When I tried to to the first real chapter, it was by Cam 1 near the loading bay. On my succeful attempt at the chapter, I only encountered it momentarily on floor 2. I have my setting set to low and normally the game runs at a smooth 60 in that regard, except for this one mystery object. I haven't a clue what in oblivion it is, so I'm reporting here. Once again, I can confirm it's not the lizard.
Stay Well
A few things and tips for players.
I'm on a laptop, but the game keeps going even if I let the laptop sleep. So depending on your device you could have the game running all night for extra progress. Just be careful if you have neurons.
Speaking of which, for anyone wondering 1 neuron eats 3 cells. If you stay at neural proliferation with max gene upgrades, you will be gaining enough genes to counteract the neurons keeping you safe.
And I believe that morphogens aren't currently working. I don't see any extra cell production, nor do I see them eating neurons. However if they are working properly, the description should be updated so players aren't missled in their function.
Been following this game for about 2 years now, and I think it's finally time I comment something. This game blew me away with it's story and the ammount of content it had. Chapter 3 had just been released when I reached that point in the game, and still loved it and the combat mechanics. I stopped usung that save a long time ago though, and did a second playthrough to relive everything else, and save some key moment's I loved. Sometimes I've even considered a third playthrough. However, the now 33 days in silence has got me kinda concerned... I love this game and want to see it to it's conclusion. So please Arcadean, don't give up! There's tones of us that would like nothing more than to see it finish, and will help however we can or need to see it through! Just say the word, we'll be there!
I'm broken somewhere. Currently in a position where I'm having 3 problems.
1: Whenever I try to do Chris's relatioship 3 event, it keeps telling me to check Mia's messages, but there's nothing new. This locks me out of Chris, Mia, and Alice leveling up.
2: The game is telling me Amber has a new relationship 4 event, but I cannot get an option to trigger it. Not even a hint.
3: Trying to do Chloe's relationship 5 event as well, but every time I go to her room at night, it tells me she's at the bar.
I just downloaded this game yesterday, is my save file scuffed or something? What am I doing wrong?
Some of the doors seem to be broken. Not letting you through even if you open them, and they wig out if you press E again. Also, the apron on the cafe costume will reappear if you take it off, and then the top. Just have to push the buttons again to fix it, but still thought I'd mention. Regardless, I'm excited for where this game might go.
So currently I enjoy it, it's very short right now but I have high hopes. However, if everything in the preview shots are in game, theres a lot more to it than I have found. However it seems like some specific actions are needed to obtain some things. I'm going to experiment for a while and see what I can find. Maybe I'm reading too deep into it, but I think that there's more than meets the eye with whatever the devoloper has planned.
I have to know, if there is a boss girl in a location. And that location is taken by the eldritch. Will I be locked out of that character because they would be puppetized? And I'm hearing disturbing reports of the eldritch spreading rapidly out of control. I like the idea, but I refuse to play if there's a chance I might lose characters, to this.
I really do enjoy the game and it has spooked me a little bit.
I do believe in a post somewhere the developers have mentioned that they will be redoing the map. If I may make a suggestion? Either A: More camera coverage. Or B: More lights. This is specifically because trying to keep track of Chica has been a nightmare because I cant fucking see her at all.
