When I set up pages on itch.io recently, I notice the words "stick" together for some reason, and messes up the layout of the text.

When I try to figure out what is going on in the html editor, I realise a lot of my spaces are   (non-breaking space), which causes the words to stick together. I ended up having to type everything in the html editor to make sure my spaces are normal spaces and not non-breaking spaces.

I have set up a lot of pages on itch.io and the problem only came up recenty? Some new update must have introduced this bug/feature?

An amazing prompt-based map-drawing game played using a deck of cards! Highly recommended!

One of the best TTRPG systems with two fantastic games! A must read for any designer or player interested in narrative-focused TTRPGs!

What I wrote is that I prefer people NOT to include links in the 36 words, but it's not something I would remove someone's entry for.

Depends on the context. "Punctuations and simple mathematic symbols are allowed and they don't add to your word count. However, if a symbol is used in place of a word, it counts as a word."

I don't usually disqualify entries if a participant bend the rules a little.

I'd rather the core rules in 36 words to consist only of "human facing instructions" as per rule 1.1.

With that said, I generally don't remove entries from the jam if they break the rules a little bit.

I only find out this post a year late! Just want to say that it's a really cool write-up of the game. In the press release for 36-word RPG Jam, I have listed DESCENT as one of the highlights for the 24-word RPG Jam.

This is just the default behaviour of itchio. Ratings and reviews can only be seen on feeds. Which is why many creators ask people to copy their reviews of a game into the comments as well.

There is also a separate comments section for the game's submission page (for the jam), but even fewer people would see it.

Unfortunately, this is just how itchio functions for non-ranked jams, and there's nothing I can do about it. ^^"

For the purpose of the jam, I would make it clear that the character sheet is separate from the core rules.

This is an unranked game jam, and you don't vote on the games, but you can rate a game on their own page and the rating would show up on the submission feed.

A superbly written game in 36 words! Reading it gives me a sense of unease and dread.

I didn't want to put extra restrictions in the rules, so there's more room for creativity.

In my entry, I counted each contraction as a singular word.

To answer the question, "it's" counts as 1 word.

Love how this game captures the spirit of resistance in 36 words.
