Good morning to you,

that's right, when he will replay and hovewer in case of need we are always here ;)

Buona fortuna con i tuoi progetti e a presto! :)

Amiga Vault Team

Ciao Retream,

Come abbiamo fatto con alcuni giochi Amiga usciti negli ultimi mesi (Ami Robbo 2, Ami-H.E.R.O, AMIner, Better Dead Than Zed, The Doll Maker, Frank Brush, Ghosts 'n Goblins AGA, Hop To The Top, International Kopycat Plus, Kondi Krush, Last Battle 2 (Demo), Metro Siege, Mundialito, Neon World, Noisy Rabbit, Phantasy Star 2, Pjusk, Rastan, Rex And The Galactic Plague, Rintivoorh, Riviera '79, Sky Shapers, Soko-Ban, Soltys, Spheroid, Trapped In The Tomb, Wings Of Fear e Yoomp!),  ci piacerebbe convertire il vostro gioco in formato WHDLoad e condividerlo con voi in modo che, se lo riterrete opportuno, potete includerlo come versione aggiuntiva a beneficio degli utenti Amiga che hanno acquistato o acquisteranno questo fantastico gioco.

Buona giornata e a presto! :)

Amiga Vault Team

Thank you so much for the recognition, in the end our success is also yours, because we are a winning team! ^_^

Hi Teo Oleo,

first of all thanks for the support and for the report, which allowed us to make the game compatible on the 500 mini. ;)

Regarding WHDLoad games loaded externally from USB, the best solution to make them compatible with the system would be to insert the whdload entry and data into the XML database found inside the THEA500 WHDLoad package, because the one available on the official website, which is here:

https://retrogames.biz/support/thea500-mini/whdload/

is not updated in real time and obviously cannot contain any XML entry about whdload exclusives released by our Team.

Of course, adding entries to the database is a manual operation that is difficult for users to apply, so in this case we simply solved it with a UAE configuration file to match the game, which also works with the ADF version (although for the 500 mini we recommend the Whdload version which is faster in loading).

In general, in our complete collections we have also implemented a specific version for the 500 mini with the XML database synchronized 1:1 with all the whdload titles (we talk about more than 5000 entries) that make up our catalog, including the exclusives.

If you want to know more about it or in any case want to download additional Amiga Vault wonderful exclusives you can find only on our catalogs we invite you to join the Facebook group dedicated to our project, available at the following link:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/amigavaultproject

Thanks again and have fun with Mundialito and the 500 mini! :)

Thanks a lot, really appreciated! :)

You can contact us on Facebook Messenger (profile Amiga Vault) or send it via mail ([email protected])

Thanks again, see you soon ;)

Hi Hoyster Games,

Congratulations for completing the final demo of the game despite the data loss that happened to you two months ago, the final result is really fantastic!

We would like to convert this final version of your game to WHDLoad but with the ADF file we can't because it is NODOS, we would need a version installable on Hard Disk and we know that the Scorpion Engine is able to give this type of output: could you do it and share it with us or anyway here on itch.io?

If so, we will certainly create the Whdload of this version of the game, obviously making the icon in HiRes since the initial screen of the game has also changed, and we will share it with you: what do you think?

Thanks in advance for the feedback and see you soon!

Amiga Vault Team

You more my friend!!! :)

It's a pleasure and an honour for us☺️

Hi All,

Fantastic game indeed, and another exclusive Whdload here from Amiga Vault: our Team in fact is specialized in the creation/conversion of Amiga games and programs in standard WHDLoad format with specific slave, custom splash screen, hybrid icon (OldIcon+NewIcon+ColorIcon) compatible with all AmigaOS, and readme file  (look at attached pictures below:).

And since this game is really worth it, we have converted it to whdload and shared it with the developer so that it can be published here and downloaded for free by the entire Amiga community. :)

All this has been possible thanks to the availability of Acne Production, who gladly accepted our proposal for collaboration, so we take the opportunity to thank them from the bottom of our hearts for choosing our Whdload version of his game as the official one to be published here and for mentioning us in the credits here on this page:

Enjoy you all this awesome game in ADF and WHD format! ;)

Hi All,

another exclusive Whdload here from Amiga Vault: our Team in fact is specialized in the creation/conversion of Amiga games and programs in standard WHDLoad format with specific elements (slave, splash screen, icon and so on).

Taking the opportunity for the official release of the game on itch.io we have updated our whdload version provided at the time to the developer with an hybrid icon (OldIcon+NewIcon+ColorIcon) compatible with all AmigaOS and a readme file (look at attached pictures below:).

We also take this opportunity to thank Cobour from the bottom of our hearts for choosing our Whdload version of his game as the official one to be published on itch.io and for mentioning us in the credits here on the page:

Enjoy you all this awesome game in ADF and WHD format! ;)

Hi Primax,

Did this user try our latest Whdload version available here and still having compatibility issues?

We just tried it in emulation on WinUAE with a virtual machine identical to the one you proposed (A1200 with 2MB Chip/64 MB Fast and Blizzard 1260) and game - both in demo and full version - works flawlessy.

Could you please report in a more specific way the problem that this user is experiencing, such as the error message that is released by his system, so as to allow us to better analyze the anomaly found and thus try to solve it?

Thanks in advance for the feedback and see you soon. :)

Amiga Vault Team

Hi,

first of all we thank you for the report, feedback is always welcome especially if constructive and aimed at helping us improve so no problem indeed you did well to report the problem you encountered.

Your analysis in our opinion is correct it would seem to be a slave problem but we wanted to know: have you downloaded the latest whdload version, the one that solves the incompatibility problem reported by the user PPC damages? We would need to know if you have tried this version or the previous one and based on this we can reason and understand how to solve your specific problem.

As soon as you can please let us know so we can proceed to carry out all the tests and checks of the case, setting your specific configuration in emulation in virtual form will not be easy and in addition we do not have amigaos 3.2.3, but we will still try to reproduce the case and the slowdown you encountered on another virtual configuration as close as possible similar to yours.

Thanks again for the collaboration and see you soon

Amiga Vault Team

Hi Remanence Studio,

As anticipated in our previous post we have converted the game to Whdload format with specific slave, custom splash screen, hybrid icon (OldIcon+NewIcon+ColorIcon) compatible with all AmigaOS, and readme file (look at attached pictures below).

We would like to share it with you so that, if you wish, you can include it as an additional version for the benefit of the Amiga community and,  as written previously, we remain available also for a possible translation of the game from English to Italian, and obviously also of the translated title we would make a Whdload version.

We reiterate that it would be an honor and a pleasure for us to collaborate with you so if you like our idea you can contact us on facebook (user Amiga Vault) or by email ([email protected]) if you prefer in order to define all the details.

Best Regards

Amiga Vault Team

Thanks a lot, another great Joy and satisfaction for our team, we Will stay in touch for next udoates and releases☺️

Best Regards

Forgot to say, eventually to promote your game translated to italian into Italian resources for us there are no problems, we can do it on our social channels facebook and telegram and also in other Italian groups on facebook 😉

(1 edit)

Hi Remanence Studios,

Great adventure game, congratulations! Our Amiga Vault Team Is specialized in whdload conversion of any Amiga game and will convert your game for sure too, showing you the result, and if you want you can share it  here as a download option, as many other Amiga game developers have decided to do having been fully satisfied with our work (Lately we have converted Wardner and Wings Of Fear, and the developers have released our whdload version on their official game page on itch.io as public download)

On the while, since all members of our team are Italians, we can take care of the translation from English to Italian too, so we could provide you with two services in one: what do you think about It? Of course for us it would be a double pleasure and privilege taking part of your great project in both these two ways!😃

Please let us know, we are available to collaborate with us in any way you deem appropriate☺️

Best Regards

Amiga Vault Team

Amiga Vault Team

Ciao Dany,

Versione di Vigilante fixata e condivisa temporaneamente qui, ecco a te:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rtEgI2aZgaNDcgL1Vzp1h_cdgSAG4tZH/view?usp=shari...

Buona giornata e a presto :)

Wardner (AGA)(Demo)(060_Fix1).lha

Che in automatico propone i seguenti parametri su CPU and FPU:

Grazie ancora e a presto ;)

Hi DanyPPC,

we would have preferred that you had contacted us directly instead of making an indirect post on itch.io but anyway we thank you for the report.

Unfortunately we don't have this specific setup to carry out the tests we would like, but maybe we will be able to reproduce in some way the case proposed in emulation and we will try to fix our whdloads.

The goal of our project is in fact to provide individual WHDLoad packages that are compatible with all types of Amiga, hardware and software, real and emulated, but we realize that it is a very complicated mission due to the countless configurations and variables involved.

Regarding our whdloads, as we said in response to another user, it is clear that since they are standard AmigaDos games that can be run from workbench without particular protections or access to the disk, the starting point of the slave source is always the same because it is excellent and consolidated, there is not much to customize at the code level even if sometimes we have done it to make the whdloads compatible downwards (for ECS systems for example), and then identifying the cause of the non-functioning on the system you indicated we could fix it without particular problems.

Of course we are very sorry that none of our WHDLoads work on your specific Amiga setup, and for this reason it would be very useful for us if you could indicate the specific error (or errors if they are different according to the various games) that is issued to you, and maybe if the generic whdloads of Amiga France or Scorpion Engine - regardless of the game that should not affect the anomaly - instead work,  to understand - assuming that your assumption about the cause of the problem is correct - whether the incompatibility affects all generic slaves or only ours because created and modified by us.

In any case, there is room for intervention and above all we are determined to solve the problem and in this regard - if we were not able to reproduce the error - would you possibly be willing to carry out some tests on our own? We also know that you are an Italian user like us, and therefore being able to communicate in our native language would be an additional advantage in case of collaboration, so we are very willing and available in this regard. :)

Please let us know, thank you, we will proceed in the meantime.

Best Regards

Since our project was born, for 3 years until now, you have done nothing but put a spoke in the wheels and persecute us like a stalker by continuously posting on our Facebook topics and on our posts on itch.io writing that ours whdloads were not exclusive, that your icons were better, that we are not a team,  that we are amateurs etc. clearly trying to belittling our work in front of the whole Amiga community and now what do you do, after our consequent logical response to your umpteenth provocation do you want to play the part of the victim?

You complain about the involvement of your 'brother' Aladin (which by the way we hadn't even mentioned, we had only made a generic reference to his project Amiga France) but you were the first to bring him up, if you cared so much you shouldn't have put him in the middle of our discussion but you should have limited yourself to talking about YOUR graphic work and not about WHDLoads in general.

We have not spat on anyone's work (we even said that your Amiga setup is remarkable but obviously you don't even consider this part, it's not worth it to focus everything on victimhood from your part) but, to disprove your fanciful thesis on the fact that we both do the same things, we have simply made an analytical and impartial comparison between the two available whdload options so that the whole Amiga community has all the elements to evaluate how things are and decide for themselves which version to download and use,  since we also provided the direct link to download his generic Whdload release (implicitly we also advertised his project and linked to his homepage too, but obviously your narrow and limited mentality does not allow you to grasp these nuances).

You continue to mystify reality by saying 'I never come to criticize your work, I only show images, where is the harm, it is not to you that my messages are intended' etc. but then answer these simple questions:

Why do you show your images ONLY AND EXCLUSIVELY where we show our Whdload to developers, as is clearly evident taking a quick look at all your posts on itch.io? (click this LINK to see it: out of 13 comments and/or images posted 12 were made on Amiga game pages where we proposed our whdload, and in the thirteenth comment - concerning a game where we didn't propose our whdload - you don't show any image/icon nor propose whdload version of that game but talk about something completely different, what a strange coincidences.....)

What image did you show and who it is intended for your ridiculous message above  "there is only one official team on whdload you and I are only amateurs who use the generic program that the official team gave to the community"? Who are you trying to kid? Are you doing it or are you there? Yes, we have a problem (only YOU annoying guy) but you have several and it would be fun to list them all, but we prefer not to rage, you already do it yourself with your irrational, narcissistic  and childish behavior.

Finally, as far as our posts on AMIGA 4 EVER are concerned, if you had deleted them it as a moderator would have been a conflict of interest and above all an abuse of power from your part since we have never broken any group rules, so not deleting them is not a merit or something to boast about, you simply did your duty; however we have just left this fb group and we banned the admin from linking our WHDLoad release posts on his group, which he was doing all the time (why since there was already Amiga France and our work is superfluous and useless in your opinion? Why he did not link to Amiga France releases instead of ours?), we can safely do without it and we will never go back there as long as you are a moderator, we don't want to deal with individuals like you anymore: it's really true, envy is an ugly beast and in your case it has become your obsession!

Now we really hope that you will no longer disturb us anymore and you will devote yourself to your project and your life, mind your own business and we will do ours, otherwise if you continue to make war on us we will fight back blow by blow, continue to counter your falsehoods, re-establish the truth and making you look bad like the one you have just done!

Goodbye and never hear from you again

We would like to thank Roartj from the bottom of our hearts for choosing to share our WHDLoad version on the official itch.io page dedicated to his game Ghosts 'n Goblins: this recognition is a source of enormous joy and satisfaction for us and amply repays the efforts, sacrifices and sometimes even the bitter pills of these three years of development of our project!

There is no doubt about the fact that there is only one official team that develops WHDLoad (official page HERE), we are the first to recognize it without any problem, converting into whdload only what the official team has not yet converted because they have priority and deserve respect, for the rest you, not even knowing what you're talking about (or misrepresenting reality which would be even worse), continue to make confusion and therefore we are forced to clarify for the umpteenth time,  hoping that it will be the right time (but we strongly doubt it because you are really hard to understand):

You are clearly not a programmer and you are not able to convert a game to whdload from scratch, you are simply an amateur graphic designer who downloads the generic whdloads just ready to go from Amiga France (official page HERE), creates the icons of the folders and now – trying in your own way to compete with them obviously failing to do so – even slaves, sometimes renaming them to give them a semblance of customization that they don't really have. If, for example, tomorrow Amiga France stopped creating generic whdloads, you wouldn't know how to do it, because you are not able to develop whdloads independently; Maybe you could try applying their generic models, but it doesn't always work with all games and you certainly wouldn't be able to develop your own specific slave with game information and various customizations to improve compatibility.

We are a professional team initially founded by a single person, an Amiga user who is a programmer by profession, to which along the way we have added 4 collaborators, 2 programmers also by profession, one of whom is an expert in Amiga assembly programming, and two other users who deal with the management and promotion of the project on social networks and the various Amiga online resources. Thanks to the skills in the informatic field, our team is not only able to create whdloads from scratch but also to develop specific slaves for each individual entry without the need to use the generic slaves already precompiled nor the whdload packages of Amiga France or other similar resources. Obviously, since most of these are AmigaDos titles without any protection or already unprotected, there is a common basis in the starting code of generic slaves that apply to everyone, but being programmers we unlike you are able to customize them according to the specific needs of developers and users.

To better understand, let's take a practical example with the game available here, Wing Of Fear.

You have probably carried out the following process:

  • You have downloaded and used the following package available on Amiga France: WingsFearDemo-WHDL.lha
  • You have created the graphic icons for the folder and the slave
  • You renamed the folder and the icon (info file) associated with the slave, but you did it only this time, the other times you didn't because you work randomly without following a well-defined process

Obviously we do not have your version with the graphic icons to test it because you, unlike us, having your project different purposes (we will come back to this concept later) do not make it available to download as a standalone package but insert it in your AmigOS setup, so we test the version of Amiga France to verify its content and functionality:

  • The first thing we notice is the presence of 6 icons to run the game, generically called GenericKick31, Workbench13_*, Workbench 31_*, when it was enough to simply leave the one that is closest to the hardware requirements of the game (in this case Workbench31_1 or Workbench31_4):
  •
  • There are also 3 ReadMe files present, each of which describes the generic slave reference without providing any information about the game in question:
  • The WHDLoad loading splash screen does not show the game-specific information but the information referring to the program to which that particular slave is applied by default (Kickstart 1.3/3.1 rather than Workbench 1.3/3.1):
  • The generic slaves used by Amiga France and applied to this game work perfectly on AGA systems (Amiga 1200/4000 with Kickstart 3.0/3.1), but if we try to use the same slaves on ECS systems (Amiga 500+/600 with Kickstart 2.05) the system crashes/resets/goes into guru meditation during the loading of the game with all the slaves proposed (try it to believe it). The situation improves if we put the kickstart 3.0 instead of the 2.05, Workbench31_1 and Workbench31_4 run the game but the second requires at least 8MB of Fast RAM, with 4MB Fast not even part, and in any case it is a considerable hardware forcing.

Our Amiga Vault team, on the other hand, has carried out a much more specific and elaborate process than yours, which of course we will not explain in detail (you would like to!) but which is aimed at obtaining the following result that makes it exclusive compared to your proposal and that of anyone else who is not the official Whdload team or who at least does not follow the standard procedure of creating Whdloads:

  • Slave created specifically and optimized for each single entry based on hardware requirements (CPU, CHIP RAM, FAST RAM etc.)
  • Splash Screen Loading compiled with title, year, developer/manufacturer, version and release date of the WHD entry
  • Unique custom dual state nice and colorful icon based on title screen, images and sprites of the released entry
  • Hybrid icon with OldIcon, NewIcon LoRes and ColorIcon HiRes embedded to adapt to any AmigaOS/Workbench for greater versatility
  • ReadMe file containing entry description and info compatible with all Amiga text viewers
  • Check and clean up the startup-sequence for faster entry execution and running
  • Removal of unnecessary data, libraries and other files contained in the converted entry to take up less disk space
  • Tested and ready-to-go package for most Amiga hardware and software platforms, real and emulated ones

All this really requires a lot of work and time, which you continue to despise with your false accusations, but let's move on with testing our version as well, we find the above:

  • The presence of a single icon to run the game, so that the user knows exactly how to start it; We also notice that the icon adapts by showing a different dual-state image, in Hires or Lores, depending on the operating system:
  • There is also a ReadMe file, only one rightly, which correctly shows the information of the game in question:
  • The Whdload loading splash screen correctly displays game-specific information as well as other custom messages that only those who know programming and know how to develop slaves are able to enter:
  • The specific slave generated by us works perfectly both on AGA systems (Amiga 1200/4000 with Kickstart 3.0/3.1 and 4MB Fast RAM) and on ECS systems (Amiga 500+/600 with Kickstart 2.05 and 4MB Fast RAM), try it to believe (we have released an updated version to the developer that is already present on our Gdrive repository and will soon be published here on itch.io)

Finally, comparing the contents of the two folders and the files inside it, it is clear that our version is much cleaner and more optimized, avoiding copying empty folders and extra files that are not part of the game and are useless, thus reducing the size of the whdload both when it is compressed (595KB vs 671KB) and when it is extracted (660KB vs 828KB): obviously we are talking about features of secondary importance, but for us it is the details that make the difference:

Now, drawing the conclusions of this in-depth analysis by us, you say that we are both amateurs, we both use the generic slaves and we do the exact same thing but the facts show the exact opposite, on Wings of Fear and on all the other whdloads made by both: the comparison just does not hold in terms of quality on the individual whdloads proposed, otherwise it would not explain the fact that 18 (!) developers have chosen our WHDLoad version as the official one for their game,  and as far as we know no one chose yours despite the fact that for most of them you showed them your version and therefore they had another option of choice, an alternative to choose from but they didn't even take it into consideration because it is clearly inferior to our proposal: you really have to resign yourself and accept it once and for all.

The concept also and above all applies to our projects in general, what is not clear to you is that the purpose of our projects is completely different:

Your goal is to provide a high-end Amiga operating system, very graphically beautiful and with a complete collection of Amiga games accompanied by really well made folder icons,  We recognize this because unlike you we are intellectually honest, your setup is really fantastic and has an edge over many others.

Our goal, however, is quite different: although we also offer complete collections, we focus more on offering single whdload titles, not only games but also demos, magazines, cracktros, programs, music-disks etc., following a precise standard aimed at making them compatible on ALL real and emulated Amiga systems, hardware and software, and not to include them in a single compatible operating system only a certain type of Amiga hardware (and obviously with an emulator that makes it reproduce).

It is no coincidence that all the developers who agree to collaborate systematically choose our version, because they need their single game in whdload and as compatible as possible with the various systems, and not 6 generic slaves and a couple of graphic icons that are good only for certain systems, nor an operating system complete with all the games like the one you propose:  They like that you consider them and include their game in your setup but that's the end of it, your work is not useful to them because their goal coincides with ours, not yours. Finally, those few who decide not to collaborate with us create the whdload by themselves, often using generic slaves (there is one that applies to all scorpion engine games), so if your goal is to propose your own Whdload version hoping that it will be chosen by the developers, forget it, It will never happen or if it does it will only be because they will not have other credible alternatives.

Therefore, in light of all this, comparing our two projects or even competing as you do, who post your icons on itch.io where we propose our whdloads only for pure competitive spirit and not altruistic for the community (otherwise you would propose your work everywhere and not only where we propose and only AFTER we posted our proposal) makes absolutely no sense and is just a waste of time for both:  both projects are worthy and there should be no hatred, contrast or challenge between us, but you persist in not understanding and continue to hurt yourself and undertake your silly personal battle against us which is already lost from the start, because then we respond with facts, your insinuations are punctually denied and you make a fool of yourself in front of the entire Amiga community.

Wouldn't it be much more sensible, productive and beneficial for the Amiga community if you focused on your project without wasting your time on putting a spoke in the wheels – failing miserably – on those of others? To posterity the arduous sentence...

You're welcome  and thanks for your answer, usually when a game is worth it we just convert it to whdload even if it is in preview/wip state, like we do lately for Vigilante, just to give an example, then obviously it's up to the developer to decide whether to publish it now or possibly when the game is complete. ;)

So, as soon as the final version is ready please let us know, we are at your complete disposal :)

Best Regards

Hi Robert,

first of all we really wanna congratulate to you, you made some nice games in the past but this is really extraordinary, the one we absolutely prefer the most from your part and not only, hat off to you master!

As you already know since we have already collaborated in the past providing you a WHDLoad version of Hop To The Top, our Amiga Vault Team is specialized in the creation/conversion of Amiga games and programs in standard WHDLoad format, and now we've improved our skill adapting entries with specific slave, custom splash screen, hybrid icon (OldIcon+NewIcon+ColorIcon) compatible with all AmigaOS, and readme file.

As we have done with some Amiga games released in recent months (Ami-H.E.R.O, Ami Robbo 2, Better Dead Than Zed, Frank Brush, Ghosts 'n Goblins AGA, International Kopycat Plus, Kondi Krush, Metro Siege, Neon World, Phantasy Star 2, Pjusk, Sky Shapers, Soko-Ban, Soltys, Spheroid, Trapped In The Tomb, Vigilante, Wings Of Fear and Yoomp!) and as we will do for some games currently in development as soon as they are ready (Hyper Wings 2.21 HD and Street Fighter), we just converted your game into WHDLoad format (look at attached pictures below:) and would like to share it with you so that, if you wish, you can include it as an additional version for the benefit of the Amiga community: what do you think of our proposal? It would be an honor and a pleasure for us to collaborate with you, if you like our idea you can contact us on facebook (user Amiga Vault) or by email ([email protected]) if you prefer in order to define all the details.

Best Regards

This game deserved a complete and specific WHDLoad version, our Amiga Vault Team have already done so (see post below) and it is no coincidence that game developer has approved our version as the official one to be published on itch.io (see download links).

We thank you anyway for your nice artwork.

Yes of course, we are always available, for demo versions and full version only too, when you want.

For some games, when they deserve it like your great work, our team and official whdload team too makes a whdload version of preview/wip releases, so we just do It for your game, but of course we can wait when you will release full version and will update our whdload according to it☺️

We would like to thank Neeso Games from the bottom of our hearts for choosing to share our WHDLoad version on the official itch.io page dedicated to his game Vigilante: this recognition is a source of enormous joy and satisfaction for us and amply repays the efforts, sacrifices and sometimes even the bitter pills of these three years of development of our project!

Thanks, you've reply :)

Hi Neeso Games Team,

We have just updated our Whdload version of Vigilante to match your latest version, modifying the splash screen and the ReadMe file accordingly (see pictures below).

As soon as you contact us via facebook messenger (AMIGA VAULT) or via email ([email protected]) we will send you whdload file in lha format just ready to go so that you can add it to the official itch.io game page if you want. ;)

Best Regards

Amiga Vault Team
